The Coalition for Energy Reforms and Good Governance Advocacy has called on the Federal Government to immediately investigate alleged corruptions in the oil sector.
The coalition made the call on Friday during a press conference in Abuja while reacting to the recent hike in the pump price of the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS otherwise known as petrol.
recalls that the NNPCL on Wednesday increased the pump price of the petroleum product across the country. The development has continued to trigger reactions from concerned citizens, who condemned the move, citing the worsening economic crisis. Speaking on the matter, convener of the coalition, Yakubu Dauda, who addressed journalists, lamented that the Mele Kyari-led Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL failed to 'deliver on its promises to improve the Nigerian petroleum sector.
