This project highlights the municipality’s commitment to promoting sustainable living.
Ampang Jaya Municipal Council has developed a green network that connects various green areas within the municipality with the help of an RM748,800 allocation from the Local Government Development Ministry .Visitors can now take leisurely strolls amid fruit orchards of rose apple , dokong and mata kucing fruit trees which are part of the green network.
MPAJ also collaborated with botanists from Arboribus Database Sdn Bhd to introduce the epokok system, which successfully enabled a more organised approach to managing trees in the area. “The objective is to establish an accurate inventory system to facilitate efficient tree management,” he said at the launch of the green corridor and epokok system.
