Iga Swiatek is on another rampage at Roland Garros.
and has won four of her eight completed sets by a 6-0 scoreline.
Swiatek is a massive -1400 favorite over Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in the semifinals Thursday morning. The 27-year-old had never even made it to the third round of any Grand Slam before this week and her route to the semifinals has included four consecutive three-set victories and one of those was a nearly four-hour marathon against Sara Sorribes Tormo in the fourth round.
Haddad Maia has a strong serve and can play with power, but she’d need to be at the peak of her powers to have a chance to keep this match close, and with the way her run has unfolded that seems quite unlikely.
