SEREMBAN: A 32-year-old freelance dancer claimed trial in the Sessions Court here to a charge of committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature against a 16-year-old male victim.
Muhammad Nazri Lanibi also pleaded not guilty to a second charge of committing physical sexual assault against the same victim. The accused was charged with committing the first offence around 12.30am at the China National Convention Center Grand Hotel in Beijing, China, in June 2025. He was charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of between five and 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
For the second, Nazri was charged with committing the offence around 12.30am on June 20 and 21 the same year. He was charged under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries a jail term of up to 20 years and whipping upon conviction. Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Zul Azrin Zainuddin then told the court the prosecution was offering the accused bail of RM20,000 for each charge pending next mention.
