Fraudsters took RM220 million in four years, Negri Sembilan assembly hears

Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun says there have been almost 9,000 reports of scams or fraud in the state since 2018. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 9, 2022.

Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun said Seremban recorded the highest losses, at RM145 million followed by Nilai , Port Dickson , Kuala Pilah , Tampin , Jempol , Rembau and Jelebu . Aminuddin also reminded the public not to be fooled by scam calls purportedly from government agencies, such as the Inland Revenue Board or any ministry, and to always check for authentication.
