Four suspects arrested in shooting that critically injured teen in Lakeside [Breaking]
, sheriff’s officials said.
The incident happened just before 1 a.m. Nov. 6 on Ashwood Street near Mapleview Street, a few blocks south of El Capitan High School, the department said.Investigators said a 16-year-old boy and his two teen companions were confronted by a group of people. The confrontation turned into an argument and then a physical confrontation when two members of the group assaulted one of the teens.The boy was shot in his lower back, sheriff’s Sgt. Colin Hebeler said in a news release.
Footage from OnScene TV taken at the time of the incident showed heavily armed sheriff’s deputies searching the area with help from a sheriff’s helicopter but all four suspects had fled the area.
