‘Four or five blokes’: Why neglected Aussie quick still believes in Test dream
Luckless Australian pace bowler Michael Neser will continue to “pour his focus” into red-ball cricket this summer and compete for a Test spot after he was overlooked during the Ashes.
Initially overlooked for the squad, Neser, who holds a CA contract, was called into the Australian camp in May but could not add to his two Tests despite scintillating form at county level, taking 20 wickets at 26.15 for Glamorgan. Johnson will make his T20 international debut in South Africa on Wednesday night, while Morris also has a national team contract and would have toured England if not for a back injury in April.
