KOTA KINABALU: Opposition Warisan, Muda, Upko and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) have rejected Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's bipartisan political cooperation, and want him to resign as Prime Minister.

The leaders, with 12 MPs, said that the Prime Minister's offer was hypocritical and insincere, as it was just an effort by Muhyiddin to stay on as Prime Minister after losing his majority.

Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal, PSB president Baru Bian, protem Muda president Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman and Upko president Datuk Seri Wilfred Tangau said this in a joint statement on Friday night."We call on Muhyiddin to step down honourably and allow the democratic process to be upheld," they added.

They said Muhyiddin's offer of confidence and supply agreement with the Opposition was coming too late in the day, as the Opposition offered the similar working arrangement agreement last year but was ignored by the Prime Minister. They said the Opposition was ready to cooperate for the benefit of the people, but Muhyiddin was too proud and rejected"our preparedness to work with him for the benefit of the people and nation”.
