Four more commissioners have resigned from the cabinet of Siminalayi Fubara, governor of Rivers

Within 24 hours, five commissioners who are loyal to Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory , have resigned their positions.citing “toxicity” in his workspace as a cabinet member.

Those who have joined the resignation list are Gift Worlu, commissioner for housing; Inime Chinwenwo Aguma, commissioner for social welfare and rehabilitation; Jacobson Nbina, commissioner for transport; and Austen Ben-Chioma, commissioner of environment.In their separate resignation letters addressed to Fubara, the commissioners stated their reasons for quitting the cabinet.

Aguma attributed her resignation to “inconducive working conditions,” while Worlu said he resigned due to a “toxic atmosphere.”.Nbina and Ben-Chioma attributed their resignation to an “unresolved political crisis” in the state.as commissioners following their redeployment.
