Joe Guzman, who was 60 years old, was shot multiple times by a 16-year-old relative earlier this year, according to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.A teen who admitted to fatally shooting a 60-year-old family member earlier this year has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars, the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office announced.
Shortly before 5 p.m. Jan. 16, officers were called to the 3300 block of Ray Simon Drive in Fort Worth, where a. Buddy Calzada, a Fort Worth police spokesman, told the news station Guzman was “very instrumental” in helping youth in the community as well as law enforcement officers.The boy, who is 16 years old, admitted to shooting Guzman multiple times after an argument and physical altercation, according to the county district attorney’s office.
