Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for the Citizens Police Academy spring semester. The deadline to apply is Jan. 9.Applications are being accepted for the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office’s Citizens Police Academy.

Community members are encouraged to apply for the free, 11-week program by Jan. 9 or until the class is full. The program will accept 35 participants for the spring semester, set to run from Jan. 26 to April 13.Classes will take place from 6.30-8.30 p.m. Thursdays at the Gus George Law Enforcement Academy, 1521 Eugene Heimann Circle, Richmond.The goal of the academy is to give community members a chance to learn about law enforcement.
