Neveu failed to lead Gabon to the finals in Cote d’Ivoire early next year and was shown the door immediately afterwards and has since confirmed his departure. FEGAFOOT – the football mother body of Gabon – has turned to Mouyouma to lead the new technical team that has Cedric Moubamba as assistant. Mouyouma spent two years at Wits University playing 62 games before switching over to Ajax Cape Town where he made 20 appearances before returning home to join his former club FC 105 Libreville.Gabon will start their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November against Kenya before travelling to Burundi a few days later.
