She’ll kick off her new role in mid-September, after moving from Dallas to Washington, D.C.

“I am thrilled to lead the Bipartisan Policy Center,” Spellings said in a statement. “It is a consequential and much-needed place for ideas, solutions and action.”Texas 2036 founder Tom Luce started the nonprofit as his concerns grew that without careful planning and decision-making, the state might be unable to continue offering unique opportunities for future generations.
