Miller appeared at a Washington, D.C., courthouse on Tuesday with his lawyer and prosecutors from the office of special counsel Jack Smith, CNN reported. The key Trump ally was likely questioned about a phone call he had with Trump just minutes before a rally at the ellipse, which preceded the Jan. 6 riot.Miller was made to testify by a judge's ruling after appearing in November and refusing to answer some questions over Trump's wish to assert executive privilege over some conversations.
Miller is the latest of several high-ranking Trump officials to be called to testify again due to a judge's ruling that denied Trump's attempt to prevent investigators from obtaining some of his private communications. When reached, Miller declined to comment to CNN or Bloomberg. Smith is leading an investigation into Trump's role in the Jan. 6 riot, as well as a separate investigation into the former president's alleged mishandling of classified documents.
