Abubakar Sambo, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan has said that the incessant collapse of the national power grid can be solved through its decentralisation.

Delivering a lecture at the event, Sambo a Professor Emeritus of Faculty of Engineering and Environmental Designs said that the power outages experienced due to the collapse of the national power grid should not be allowed to happen. He urged states across the country to start installing state-wide grids to help establish their electricity markets as provided by Electricity Act 2023.
