De-love Kofi Amuzu, 23, who once lived in Fairfield and Cincinnati, was arrested on Jan. 13 in the Bronx, according to the U.S. Prosecutor’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio. Amuzu made his first appearance in federal court Thursday in Cincinnati. The co-conspirators are accused of leading victims to believe they were in a romantic relationship with the person in the false online profile. They then convinced to transfer or mail money and valuables to members of the conspiracy.that court documents show one woman sent $75,000 to a person using the profile name Marvin Anderson. The woman then lost $25,000 when she thought she was paying for an FBI agent to search for Anderson.
