Former Michigan State men's basketball star Adreian Payne has died ... his former teammate announced on Monday. He was just 31 years old.
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, officers responded to a report of a shooting at around 1:37 AM and discovered Payne suffering from a gunshot wound.A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says 29-year-oldwas identified as the shooter ... and was ultimately arrested on a warrant for first-degree murder.has died ... his former teammate announced on Monday. He was just 31 years old.
Payne became a massive star for the Spartans after arriving on the East Lansing campus in 2010 ... recording 16.4 points per game and 7.3 rebounds in his senior season in 2013. That year, Payne helped lead MSU to an Elite Eight appearance.
