Eddie Beckford, of Camp Hill, will discuss his September 1966 to August 1967 Vietnam service as a member of the Air Force’s 819th Red Horse (Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers).

will meet on Nov. 9, at Vietnam Veterans of America, Michael Novosel MOH Chapter 542, 8000 Derry St., Harrisburg, at 7:30 p.m.

He grew up in New York, graduating from high school in 1964, according to a press release. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1966, receiving basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, before being assigned to Lackland in Del Rio, Texas.
