Former Indonesian president BJ Habibie dies

THIRD Indonesian president Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, or BJ Habibie, died at the Gatot Soebroto Armed Forces Hospital due to various health problems. According to his son, Thareq Kemal, as quoted by Indonesia’s local media, the former president died at 6.01pm after undergoing intensive treatment by a team of Indonesian presidential doctors after being admitted to hospital since September 1.
