served up Southern cooking for the better part of a decade, the lights are on at a new neighborhood restaurant.
Quarter Acre, an upscale dinner-only concept from New Zealand chef and owner Toby Archibald, kicked off 2023 with its first night of service and dished out plates of smoked beef tartare, white wine clams, ricotta gnudi and parmesan-buttered grouper. “An emphasis on the word hospitality cannot be understated,” Archibald said in the release. “Courtesy, civility, and liveliness will be the focal point of how all business is conducted at Quarter Acre.”the goal of Quarter Acre is to offer “Michelin-level food and service without the stiffness that is often associated with high-quality dining.”
The 2300-square-foot restaurant can seat 65 diners inside and will have additional patio seating, which will open in the spring.
