Updated September 29, 2023 10:11 PMIt was announced this morning that after four years with the San Francisco Giants, Gabe Kapler has been relieved of his managerial duties.
During his time with the Phillies, the team went 161-163 in his two years finishing in the bottom half of their division both times. He was dismissed by the team after his second season. Since then, Kapler has gone back to pretty much managing a .500 record team going 81-81 in 2022 and 78-81 in 2023, not being able to finish out the year with the team, but at best they would have ended with an even 81-81 record.
