Carigara, Leyte Mayor Eduardo Ong Jr. announced the passing of his father, former Mayor and incumbent Vice Mayor Eduardo “Boy” Cañega Ong Sr., at the age of 66.
TACLOBAN CITY – Carigara, Leyte Mayor Eduardo Ong Jr. announced the passing of his father, former Mayor and incumbent Vice Mayor Eduardo “Boy” Cañega Ong Sr., at the age of 66.“It is with deep sorrow that we inform you about the demise of former Carigara Mayor Vice Mayor Eduardo “Boy” Cañega Ong,” Eduardo Jr. said.The vice mayor was survived by his wife Leny, Dr. Jacqueline, Eduardo Jr., and Joseph Michael.
“We will update you regarding the details of his wake and burial. Please pray for the eternal repose of his soul,” Eduardo Jr. added. Eduardo Sr. served as Carigara mayor for three terms before he ran for vice mayor in the May elections.
