Police today revealed the high-paid presenter was arrested last year and charged last month.
Metropolitan Police announced today that the 62-year-old had been arrested on November 8 and charged on June 26 for offences alleged to have occurred between December 2020 and April 2022.
The former news presenter living in Southwark in London was granted bail and is due at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday. "Nothing should be published, including on social media, which could prejudice future court proceedings."
