The former deputy received five years of formal probation.
A one-time Alameda County Sheriff’s Office medical coordinator has been sentenced to five years of formal felony probation after pleading no contest to two charges that he committed sexual battery under the false pretense of having a professional purpose.
The agreement allows Trapp to avoid jail or prison time. Patton explained in the agreement that Trapp avoided jail because he did not have any criminal history.“When we learned of Trapp’s assaultive behavior, he was terminated,” Alameda County Sheriff Yesenia Sanchez said in a statement. “A subsequent investigation by Dublin Police Services resulted in charges being submitted to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Dormer, in a declaration of probable cause for arrest, wrote that Trapp gave inappropriate medical examinations to five female recruits assigned to the ACSO’s 171st training academy between Aug. 13 and Aug. 27, 2021.
