An original black and white sketch of Winnie the Pooh and his good friend Piglet which languished for decades in a drawer is expected to fetch thousands when it goes under the hammer next month.
Chris Albury, senior auctioneer and valuer at Dominic Winter Auctioneers, told CNN on Thursday that the drawing was found by Christopher Foyle's widow Catherine – but not in the library.
The illustration "was carefully drawn though as one can see traces of the pencil underneath the ink which Shepard would then rub out after he completed the drawings in ink," Albury said in the release. The custom-made mink and leather jacket was estimated to sell for just £15,000 when it went on sale through Henry Aldridge and Son in the UK on the weekend.reported.
Inscribed with "Pac & Dada 1996," a reference to his engagement to actress and model Kidada Jones , the diamond-encrusted gold band is topped with a gold circlet studded with a cabochon ruby and two pavé-cut diamonds.The ring was designed over several months after the rapper signed with Death Row Records following a prison sentence of which he served eight months.
