It's not officially recognised by any government, but for a small handful of communities along a remote stretch of the Nullarbor their own custom time zone suits them just fine.
With urban legends like the Nullarbor Nymph, it's not too hard for tourists travelling the famous Australian east-west highway to get confused.It is not officially recognised and mobile phones won't automatically pick it up
But it's the three clocks at the Border Village roadhouse on the South and Western Australian borders that get the oddest looks. The time zone exists for about 340 kilometres and takes in the tiny roadhouse communities of Cocklebiddy, Madura, Eucla and Border Village.
