SHAH ALAM: Forensics expert Dr Shahrom Abd Wahid said he did not go to the site where fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim sustained his injuries as part of his investigation.
This was despite him saying that a visit to the site was important for a reconstruction of the event that transpired on Nov 27, 2018.
The 29th witness in the inquest into the death of Muhammad Adib said he made the call after being satisfied with the materials that were provided to him over the case. Dr Shahrom, who is a former forensic pathologist at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre, was brought in by lawyer Syazlin Mansor, who is representing the Housing and Local Government Ministry, Fire and Rescue Department, and Muhammad Adib's family at the inquest.
Muhammad Adib, 24, became critically injured in the early morning of Nov 27 after he and his team members from the Subang Jaya fire station responded to an emergency call at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple where a riot was taking place. The fireman was taken to SJMC after he was found injured, before being transferred to the National Heart Institute for further treatment, where he later died on Dec 17, at 9.41pm.
