For the 1st time, women run each of the network morning shows

"This is another cool thing, audience people," co-host Gayle King said Friday morning after co-host Norah O'Donnell told viewers that CBS had named Diana Miller the show's new executive producer."All three morning network news shows are now led by women."

Miller, who had been a senior broadcast producer on the program, has close ties to King, in recent months producing two of King's highest-profile segments, exclusive interviews with R. Kelly and Governor Ralph Northam of Virginia."She's an experienced journalist and collaborative leader," CBS News president Susan Zirinsky said in a statement.

Zirinsky, the first woman chosen to lead CBS News in the network's history, has been working to stabilize a news division rocked by sexual harassment scandals. Last fall, network CEO Les Moonves was ousted following a series of allegations of improper conduct. Twelve months earlier, CBS fired Charlie Rose from his roles as co-host ofafter several women accused the newsman of harassment by misconduct. Rose's boss, Jeff Fager, who ranstory suggested he had groped a woman at a CBS party.
