North East, East Central and South San Antonio independent school districts have opted for a district-wide holiday. Others, such as Northside, Judson, Southwest and Harlandale ISDs, will still have staff at schools for professional development. Somerset ISD, in southwest Bexar County, moved its lone polling site away from a campus, which will have classes as usual.decided in August“This decision was made to allow for easy access to any potential voting sites while causing minimal disruption or safety concerns to the school day,” he said in an email Monday.to let staff have the day off as well as students, with a make-up day set for May 26.
