Michael Mull is the new head football coach at Burbank, San Antonio ISD announced Monday morning.
It is Mull's first head-coaching job after previously serving as the defensive coordinator at Taft the last five years. Before that, he was the defensive coordinator at San Benito, his alma mater.
Mull replaces Wendell Harris, who stepped down at Burbank after three years to become the coach at LEE. Mull inherits a program that went 7-4 last season and made the playoffs for the first time since 2019. “Going into this job, I am not thinking about wins or losses. I am about building a culture and a relationship with the community and trying to develop kids to be the best," Hull said in a news release."Not just the best athlete, but the best person they can be. That is what I have done everywhere I have been. And the by-product of that has been winning. So, I am going to continue to use that formula – building great men – and let the winning come.
