Despite politics being touted as the main culprit behind it all, it cannot be denied that there are certain groups or individuals provoking extreme views hiding in plain sight. Strengthening the role of the ‘third force’ and movements may provide the right mix for sustainable change. Removing race-based policies may receive tremendous backlash but if that’s deemed as the best move based on the principle of meritocracy, we shall reap the rewards in the coming years.
