Disney's first Black animator, Floyd Norman, has been making magic for over six decades. And at 86, he's still going strong.
CHICAGO -- We continue to celebrate Black History month, with the legendary Floyd Norman, Disney's first Black animator.
"I've been an animator, a layout artist, storyboard artist, writer," Norman said."There's nobody who had worked with Walt Disney, and gone to publications and ended up at Pixar. I've had a wonderful career and a wonderful life, because I've been able to do what I wanted to do, I was able to follow my dream.""I wasn't aware I was an African American! I was another artist looking for a job," he explained.
