SERDANG: Three Covid-19 cases have been detected among flood victims in Johor and have been quarantined in hospitals, says Dr Zaliha Mustafa .
"The authorities are also monitoring for possible cases of leptospirosis and dengue as well as other usual diseases which rise during floods," said Dr Zaliha. "The flood situation is quite severe in Johor and many temporary evacuation centres have been set up. "Clinic facilities in the state have been affected and we have lost some of the Health Ministry devices.
"Any state of emergency would be proposed from the state level first. Federal assistance will be provided if the state asks for it. However, many of the government agencies have started to bring in aid from the other states to help the flood victims which are continuously increasing," said Dr Zaliha.
