Mount Dukono in Indonesia's eastern Maluku province erupted on early morning of Saturday (December 7), prompting the Volcanology and Geological Disaster Mitigation Centre to issue the highest aviation warning.
KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in five states is improving, with a significant drop in the number of evacuees placed in temporary relief centres this evening.
In KEDAH, the total number of flood victims has decreased to 255 individuals from 65 families compared to 610 individuals from 172 families this morning, with all of them being housed at the Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Gunung relief centre in Kota Setar. Meanwhile, in JOHOR, the number of flood victims also decreased after five relief centres were closed on Sunday. Three of these centres were in Segamat and two in Tangkak, with the number of people still affected by the floods on Sunday being 229, compared to 408 the same morning.
