JOHOR BARU: The number of flood victims in six districts in Johor has increased from 2,162 people as of 9am to 5,878 victims at noon on Wednesday (March 1).

There are currently 1,575 families seeking shelter at 54 temporary relief centres , up from 581 families at 25 centres previously at the six districts.

Kota Tinggi has 1,156 people from 259 families at 13 PPS, Johor Baru with 1,004 victims from 296 families at nine centres, Kulai with 320 people from 80 families seeking shelter at five centres and 15 victims from three families at one PPS in Pontian.ALSO READ :The current water level at Sungai Segamat Kecil is 38.32m , Sungai Batu Pahat at 13.74m and Sungai Lenik, Ladang Chaah at 6.73m – all in Segamat.

The water level at Sungai Pulai in Pontian is now at 2.85m , and Sungai Skudai in Kampung Laut in Johor Baru at 5.60m and Sungai Skudai in Kampung Pasir, Johor Baru at 1.05m .
