JOHOR BARU: The flood situation in Johor has yet to improve with over 38,000 evacuees still seeking temporary shelter in flood relief centres in four districts with the bulk of them in Batu Pahat.
The state disaster management committee said the flood victims are currently placed at 121 relief centres in the four districts.“This is followed by Muar with 504 evacuees, Segamat and Tangkak ,” it said in a statement.
Based on the weather forecast from the Malaysian Meteorological Department, no heavy rainfall is expected in Johor with most districts experiencing good weather.
