JOHOR BARU: The number of flood evacuees in Batu Pahat continues to see a decline with less than 500 seeking shelter in several remaining temporary relief centres as of 8pm on Thursday (March 23).
The state disaster management committee said there were currently 439 people from 122 families at the relief centres compared with 967 people from 269 families at 8am.
"The four relief centres that are still active are at SK Seri Medan, Sekolah Agama Seri Bernam, SJKC Hua Min and Sekolah Agama Seri Comel," it said in a statement. It added that there are four roads that are still non-accessible to vehicles with three in Kluang and one in Kulai.Jalan Kota Tinggi-Kluang is only open to light vehicles.Article type: free
