OpenAI and Hearst Communications Inc. have struck a deal to bring content from the publisher’s suite of magazines and newspapers into chatbot ChatGPT, adding to a long list of partnerships the artificial intelligence startup has inked with media companies.
KOTA TINGGI: The Irrigation and Drainage Department has identified 4,619 flood hotspots nationwide as part of preparations for the Northeast Monsoon this year.
He added that the Irrigation and Drainage Department would also monitor dams that were more than 50 years old, especially those with large and high water volumes, and identify necessary intervention measures. As the chairman of the Central Disaster Management Committee, Ahmad Zahid said the Social Welfare Department had identified 8,481 temporary evacuation centres capable of accommodating 2.15 million flood victims, while basic amenities would also be given due attention.
Meanwhile, from January to February 2025, he said wetter conditions were expected in Johor, Sarawak, and Sabah, with the La Niña phenomenon predicted to start at the end of 2024 and continue until mid-2025. Earlier, Ahmad Zahid also said that Nadma Directive No. 1 would serve as the main guideline for disaster management to reduce the risks and impacts of disasters in the country.
