Flooding spreads to two more districts in Sabah
Authorities in Sabah are reporting that Paitan and Beluran are the latest districts to be affected by flooding. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 2, 2022.
FLOODING in Sabah has worsened with 566 people seeking shelter as Paitan and Beluran became the latest two districts to report rising water levels. In Paitan, 32 people were evacuated, with 30 more in Beluran also displaced. The Sabah disaster management secretariat said there were also 504 people from Kota Marudu in relief centres.
