SHAH ALAM: The heavy downpour that has hit Klang, Shah Alam, Puchong and Kajang since midnight on Thursday (Nov 17) has led to a landslide and rising water levels in several areas.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said among the areas, where water has risen are Jalan Landasan Kampung Bukit Kuda, Taman Sentosa, Taman Chi Liung, Teluk Pulai and Taman Maznah in Klang along with Kampung Sri Aman and Putra Height Harmoni 1 in Puchong.

He added that as of 3.30am, more than 31 victims have been relocated to temporary relocation centres due to rising water levels in their housing areas, he said. Norazam said the Jalan Landasan Kampung Bukit Kuda, Klang is the area with the deepest floodwater at 0.6m while the most shallow floodwater is at Taman Sri Muda, Jalan Kebun and Kampung Bukit Lanchong at 0.3m.
