KUALA LUMPUR: The flood situation in the country continued to improve as the number of flood evacuees in relief centre s dropped steadily, with Terengganu fully recovering from flooding.

In KEDAH, evacuees dropped to 2,131 people from 642 families in 14 centres in two districts as of 8pm compared to 2,861 people from 850 families this afternoon, with Kota Setar having the highest number, 1,794 people from 544 families in 11 centres followed by Kubang Pasu with 337 people from 98 families in three centres.

A total of 32 people from 10 families are at one relief centre in Batu Pahat, 412 people from 120 families are in 13 centres in Segamat, while the situation remained the same in Tangkak with 176 people from 48 families in two centres.
