Thousands of new homes planned to be built in Sydney's northwest will be scrapped after a secret government flood report declared the developments would be unsafe. An estimated 12,000 homes were planned to be built in Marsden Park North and West Schofields. Now only 2,300 homes will go ahead – impacting more than 1,000 landholders.
