S​evere flooding is ongoing in parts of the South, with multiple flash flood emergencies declared in parts of Kentucky and Tennessee. New Images Show Tennessee Homes Surrounded By Floodwaters I​n the town of Union City, Tennessee, which was included in one of the flash flood emergencies, images and video shared with weather.com showed numerous homes surrounded by flooding.

," Oneonta Public Safety Director Brandon Horton told WBRC-TV. "All of those were driving through areas that were covered in water. Everyone was OK. All the victims were recovered safely.""Training thunderstorms [storms that move over the same area for a prolonged period of time, like a train on railroad tracks] developed over portions of far western Kentucky and western Tennessee early Friday," said weather.com meteorologist.
