Bandilngan Windjana Gorge National Park, 140 kilometres north-east of Derby, was extensively damaged by a record-breaking Lennard River flood in January. "We're still waiting for waters to recede, but parts of the walk trail into the gorge has washed away and there's been significant damage to the banks."It may be the case that we need to replace them."The Kimberley regional manager said it was too early to give an accurate damage bill, but estimated it could be "in the millions of dollars".Danggu Gorge National Park lost 37 hectares of land and all its infrastructure during the Fitzroy floods.
