The Neptune Beach Police Department toldAs a precaution, Ledford says the school will operate on a"lockout" today and will have additional police presence at the school as well. As normal, the school will be using their"Evolv weapons detection systems at in-take," Ledford says.
"Again, I want you to be aware of this situation and the precautions we are taking," Ledford said in the message to parents."I appreciate your patience and partnership as we work to keep our school secure and our students and staff safe. Thanks again. Have a great morning."
