Flags placed on gravesites at Lake View Cemetery for Memorial Day observanceCLEVELAND, Ohio — Lake View Cemetery is being decorated with about 9,000 flags in preparation of its annual Memorial Day observance.

Nearly 100 volunteers showed up Friday to place the flags. Volunteers are working through Saturday afternoon to make sure the cemetery is well-decorated for Monday’s event. More than 200 volunteers will help place the flags over the three days. About group of about 60 volunteers started placing flags on Thursday.
