Destiny 2 should leave some stuff in the Destiny Content Vault and throw away the key.

actually being vaulted this fall, despite being an activity that is simultaneously poorly designed and loot pointless. With Gambit being merged into one form and Prime armor being sunset, that negates the main point of Reckoning. And now that Drifter era guns are in the general pool, there’s no point farming it for a Gnawing Hunger either.

Reckoning is by far my least favorite activity in Destiny history. It’s one that Bungie actually admitted is badly designed as a way to combat power creep , and it’s just a terrible experience all around 90% of the time, from the matchmaking to the encounters to the boss fights. Put it in the vault and leave it there forever.I think everyone wants to see pretty much all raids return to the game “reprised” at some point, but I think there’s one lair that most wouldn’t care if we left out.

I actually don’t hate the Mercury strikes, or Sundial, or the Haunted Forest event, but all of those exist outside the main patrol zone. I would not care if any of that stuff came back, but Mercury as a zone itself can peace out and never return for all I care. It had a good skybox, that’s about all I can say for it.I actually really like Destiny 2 Mars and want to see it unvaulted eventually.

Ice Breaker was a balance nightmare for Bungie with its infinite ammo regen that meant people were just sitting back in the toughest content pinging at enemies waiting for special to respawn. Ithink that Destiny currently has too many problems with sitting back, pinging away at enemies in high level content, and I don’t see a way bringing back Ice Breaker wouldn’t make that even worse.
