KUCHING: Sarawak recorded five new suspected Covid-19 novel coronavirus cases on Tuesday (Feb 18).

The state disaster management committee said the five persons under investigation , all Malaysians, were reported at the Sarawak General Hospital here.

This brings the cumulative number of PUI cases in the state since Jan 10 to 97, comprising of 74 Malaysians, 20 Chinese nationals, one Thai, one Indonesian and one Canadian.Meanwhile, the state Health Department screened 6,820 arrivals at the state's airports and other entry points as of noon on Monday .The department again reminded those who are returning from China to seek immediate treatment and inform doctors of their travel history if they fall sick within 14 days of their return.
