Five dead, 17 injured over the weekend on Eastern Cape roads
Five people died in two separate car accidents in the Eastern Cape over the weekend.At least 17 others were injured.
"The male driver and a young boy in the vehicle died on the scene, while two females and one male passenger sustained severe injuries and were taken to Uitenhage Provincial Hospital," said Binquose. Last Easter, the death toll on Eastern Cape roads doubled year-on-year, with at least 40 people dying over the long weekend, the SABC reported.
