JOHOR BARU: Police have arrested five men for allegedly stealing diesel from petrol stations here.
Johor Baru North deputy OCPD Supt Fariz Ammar Abdullah said that the suspects were arrested by the General Operations Force Battalion 5 during an operation at Kampung Sinaran Baru near Skudai here at around 1pm on Monday .
Supt Fariz Ammar added among the items seized were a lorry, a trailer with 31,000 litres of diesel, a four-wheel-drive vehicle, 34 tanks with a capacity of 1,000 litres each, a flow meter and two oil pumps. Meanwhile, in a separate case, Supt Fariz Ammar said the marine police region II arrested a 31-year-old man after the suspect was found with 29 boxes of untaxed beer.
